Jazz finished in a four way tie for 20th with Indiana, OKC and New Orleans. In a two way tie they flip a coin to determine the draft order.

How will they determine the draft order for a four way tie?

Heads it’s Indiana, tails it’s OKC, if it lands on the edge it’s NO, and as far as us we’re SOL.

Not Jazz related but interesting...the Bucks traded their pick to the Suns with protections 1-10 and 17-30. Bucks finished tied with Miami for 16-17 spots. A coin flip will determine if the Bucks pick is 16 or 17and hence if the pick is conveyed to Phoenix. Ironically, Miami's pick is already being conveyed to Suns from the Dragic trade.

20 to 23 could be a big difference. Worth watching... thanks for the heads up.

As per the rules the nba flips four coins at the same time... they don’t know the rules that determine which team drafts where but 4 coins are flipped. Once they realize they don’t know the rules they panic and the order is determined with a stomp the yard style dance off. DL has got this!

I’m rooting against them for epic tanking in two straight years and then saying we only did it for a year and getting indignant about it. They have been the worst offenders imo by shutting down Bledsoe last year when he was healthy.

coin flip on Friday the 13th???

This is all I could find on how the four-way tie will be resolved.

"...there is a complicated formula between the Pacers, Pelicans, Thunder and Jazz for picks 20-23, since all four teams finished the regular season with a 48-34 record."

I think that a tie like this should be partially decided by playoff seedlings.

OKC is the 4th in the West - they should pick 23rd.

Utah and Indiana are both the 5th seeds - they should coin toss for the 22nd/21st picks.

New Orleans is the 6th seed in the West - they should pick 20th.

No need to make it super complicated.

Jazz get the 21st pick.

OKC-20 (conveyed to Minny via the Jazz)
Jazz-21
Indy-22
NO-23 (conveyed to Chicago)

The order is reversed for the second round.
NO-50
Indy-51
Jazz-52
OKC-53
