2019 Trade Deadline Discussion

The Boston assets arent nearly as good now as they were before the season started.

Lots of dimes and quarters but that Sacramento dollar didn’t come through... brown struggling hurts... still think they’d have the best overall package for Davis... but it depends on what you think of Brandon Ingram.

Can’t wait for the Hayward Brown and picks to NO for AD trade though... wonder if Gordo will make an anime commercial about it.

True. I've watched those picks they are owed fall down the Tankathon draft board and bounce around in the middle. They look like they will be late lottery to mid-twenties by season end, but I don't see Ainge moving them while there is still a chance the pick moves up the draft board unless AD is the prize.

There would be something rich about that, though. The Jazz leave NO because they aren't getting support and move on to greener pastures. Hayward tries to leave Utah, thinking he's moving on to greener pastures, but ends up cursed in New Orleans Jazz hell.

Well, if you look at the players they have that they can move (anyone but tatum/irving) they havent played well either. You could say that some of it is trying to fit in Hayward and Kyrie back. Honestly if New Orleans trades him it would be a mistake, unless obviously AD flat out tells them that he wont re-sign

This trade idea is awful: https://www.google.com/amp/s/syndic...-carmelo-anthony-jeremy-lin-jr-smith.amp.html

Atlanta Hawks Receive: Dante Exum, Solomon Hill, Wesley Johnson, Ian Clark, 2019 first-round pick (lottery-protected, via New Orleans), 2020 first-round pick (lottery-protected, via Utah)

New Orleans Pelicans Receive: Justin Anderson, Ricky Rubio, Thabo Sefolosha

Utah Jazz Receive: Kent Bazemore, Jeremy Lin

I like Lin, but that is terrible Bleacher Report

Ya basically for us, Rubio, X, and a first round pick for Lin and bazemore. I don't like it.
I feel that if the three teams Atlanta wins that trade by a mile

Moving for Lin would be smart though. I like his fit and I think he is a big upgrade over Neto and even Exum (for playoff PG minutes). We can play Exum at SG and SF so it's not like he loses minutes.

Lin for Thabo, Neto, Niang and a 2nd rounder would be a smart trade for both sides. Atlanta picks up another asset for a guy they were just going to let go. They probably keep Niang and maybe Neto too due to their cheap deals.
