2019 Trade Deadline Discussion

Funny in listening to Locke's trade special, they were talking with the guy who covers Memphis and he really doesn't know why they kept Conley and that both the Jazz and Detroit's offers were good value for Conley. Sounds like Memphis was trying to get one of them to blink and neither did....

LOL ,Jazz fanz got to suck it up about Exum ,you get to hate on him for the duration because NO trades happened because of him. Jazz valued him over Rubio and Favors who they tried to trade.
WTF about Snyder though …..clearly he loves Rubio and doesn't like Exum like the front office does. Drama in the Jazz clubhouse with value put on Exum and Ricky knows Jazz tried to dump him.
Jazz need to get going on Exum/Mitchell back court ,playoff runs are the next part of the season.

Favs deal was supposed to be trade bait and a look to see if his shot had developed... it didn't develop and we didn't use the contract. Last offseason there were opportunities to make long term moves to improve the the team... we passed to keep Favs and Exum in house. Now the deadline moves with no real change... most FA targets are likely to be out of reach...
Should find my posts from this summer saying this was a desert mirage when everyone was so reassured by the possibilities. I'd PGAB TF out of the forum.

Here's the rest of the post trade deadline interview talking points template...

- Just want to start by saying how stressful of a time of year this is. We're talking about real people, with real families, whose lives are put on hold and want to acknowledge the stress they experience as their names are in headlines, and want to recognize them for the professional manner in which they handle themselves.

- Look, it's my job to improve the team and I've always gotta be looking at every scenario that accommodates that. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't, and sometimes we don't feel we're getting equal value in return. There are hard decisions, but overall we really like our guys. You look at what we did last year ... [drop some sentiments], you look at how far we've come this year [more sentiments] and the progress we've made and the terrific impact [talk about Rudy and Donovan].

- When we look at the advanced stats, we find [insert some really positive stat that shows how good this group is].

"Our major acquisition is getting a healthy Dante back. That's like a free-agent signing in itself"
