Beer write-up
Not too much needs to be said. Running the offense through LBJ, with Melo and Nash spacing the floor. 2 all time great shooters. Melo won't be pounding the air out of the ball iso all game, he'll be playing his olympic team role where he killed it as a spot up shooter. People forget what a freak Charles Barkley was in his day. Averaged 26, 12 and 6 in his prime. And then Dwight Howard rolling down the lane dunking everything in sight, blocking shots into the upper deck. I've got 2 of the top 10, maybe even 5, athletic freaks of all time in Dwight and LBJ, and to a lesser extent Barkley. 2 of the smartest players of all time in Nash and Lebron. Great shooters, great defenders, and a bench full of scorers. And one of the elite shot blockers of all time in Marcus Camby means I'll have an elite rim protector in at all times.
Plus David Benoit. So there.

IMO Beer did a lousy job building around LBJ. Steve Nash is the only consistent three point shooter around LBJ, and isn’t really compatible with LBJ, which kind of wastes Nash’s talent. Beer might contend that Penny was a good 3 point shooter, but that didn’t happen till he was a shell of his former self, before his injury he was below average 3 point shooter. So, beer is either using the allstar Penny or washed up Penny, or maybe just little Penny, Lol.
I can pack it in on defense, and make it more difficult for LBJ to drive to the basket.
Another problem is Howard is also not compatible with LBJ as he never developed any offensive skills other than bully ball. So he’s strictly an inside player taking up LBJ’s driving space. If beer plays him on the perimeter, that kills most of his potential and usefulness. I feel I have one of the best defensive teams in this and could be argued I have the best defensive team. All my starters are at least a little above average. 4 of the 5 are very good. 3 of the 5 are elite defenders. Beer has made it fairly easier for me to defend LBJ and still put up a wall against the rest of his team.
My team is 1000 times more playoff tested. Only one player for Beer has won titles. If it comes down to a close game in the fourth quarter, I’m supremely confident my players will be the ones making the right plays and clutch plays and make fewer mistakes.
I have better team defense and offense, and frankly my team fits better than his.
