2023 annual Jazzfanz all time NBA draft

Billups, Glen Rice, Majerle, Pettite are on the market…looking to trade 2-3 of them for one obvious upgrade and a late pick or two—9th and/or 10th.

I thought a lot about him, but his best years were long gone by the time he came to the NBA.

Well yeah, he would have went a lot higher in this if he came over earlier. Best year in the NBA was still 16 PPG, 10 RPG, 3 APG, 1 BPG, 1 SPG. Pretty damn good.

Love Mark Price. He had some great performances in the Allstar game a couple times. He’s underrated and would’ve been thought as one of the great shooters had he played today and his Star would’ve shined much brighter.
It’s crazy how not that long ago great shooting was seen as just kinda cute.

I don't even understand it. Great shooters in the 90s would pass up wide open shots from the 3 a dozen times each game. Most teams barely defended the parameter, and the value of the 3pt shot is just simple math.

I’m guessing advanced stats really helped to change coaches thinking. Lists of coaches didn’t like it as if shooting a three that missed was a waste of a possession. Even myself I’d get frustrated at the sight of seeing BRuss or Stockton or someone shooting a three. Three pt choosing was super taboo if it was early in the shot clock.
