2023 NBA Free Agency Thread

Im guessing most of these huge contracts at least have team options and incentives that are making them seem bigger than they will ever be.

Some players just get lucky for how their free agency lineups. FVV isnt close to being worth that contract but he lucked out by getting in a class with little talent and a desperate Rockets org.

I’m not sure about that. The cap is set to explode. It went up ~10% this year. I could see it going up ~10-13% each of the next few seasons as well based on the talk.

Right now these salaries seem huge but once the cap is ~165M or so in two years, they won’t feel nearly as crippling.

does not make much sense unless HOU is trying to go win now mode
 
The lakers have signed nearly the whole league they are the most desperate organisation in the nba signing anyone that wants to go there our 2027 pick is looking good at this stage
 
Oubre JR stands out as someone who is left, fits the preferred age group, is long, and is reasonably talented.

I'm sure he's not very good overall, but could be worth a gamble just for some wing size.
