A thread to follow the other teams in the tank race. Right now I'm looking at Utah/Portland/SAS/Washington/Toronto/Detroit/Brooklyn/Charlotte/Chicago. We can change the teams as the season moves on.
Dont think Charlotte is going to be in it. Houston probably has a higher chance mostly due to being in the West

Last Night Results:
- Jazz lose by 2 to MEM
- POR loses by 35 to GSW
- CHI loses by 12 to NOP
- CHA wins by 5 over HOU
- BKN lose by 4 to ATL
- TOR loses by 30 to CLE
- DET loses by 6 to IND

Overreactions from Game 1 for every team:

- Charlotte will be a play-in team or at least out of the tank race.

- Detroit will be in a similar position to us the last two years and end up around the 8th/9th pick.

- Toronto is sneaky bad. Might be worse than what we thought.

Watched like 5 minutes of Toronto and it was awful. Not sure what they are trying to do with Scottie Barnes but none of it was working. Cavs look so good. Raps look checked out already and its game 1.

I think Chicago and Charlotte if healthy won't be in our tank lane. Det very respectable. Brooklyn will be frisky for 5-10 games maybe before being awful.

Portland has a distinct coaching advantage in the tank race lol. Scoot also helps but that team shouldn't be as bad as they showed last night.

TOR players came out on media day and said they knew they were going to tank and lose on purpose. Maybe not bottom dwellars but they will probably be worse than their "talent".

Poeltl's comments and lifeless/sloppy play were all I needed to see... Toronto is a darkhorse and may replace a team like Detroit. Pistons seemed very competent and engaged. Still think its like 5th/6th spot for us and we end up with a surprise team that outperforms and a surprise team that underperforms.

Other than having the greatest prospect of all time and bringing the Jazz FO to tears after being forced to draft Hendricks, WAS is irredeemable. They suck. ATL and CHI are just too mid to be very bad. The universe wants to them to be mid, not bad. Pistons and Hornets on paper should be play in contenders in the east. BKN and POR not as bad as people think and both rosters filled with actual NBA caliber players, but still very bad. SAS and TOR are sneaky tankers.

Just looked up French Scottie Pippen this year. He is shooting 0% and his team has not scored one point. lol Poor dude about to get fed to the lions tonight when the deeply unserious Wiz take on the Celtics that have been "serious pilled" by that pyscho Joey Mazz. Gonna be a funeral.

Analysis feels spot on. Pop is an elite level tanker so he may figure it out... got my eyes on him. Toronto ain't even sneakin.

Right now I think Brooklyn, Porty, Wiz are for sure without much of any doubt... going to be worse than us, but we may have legit injuries.

Atlanta won, but they are plenty awful.
Yeah they need to be included in the watch.

They were a 36 win team that did nothing to improve but acted as a seller instead. They looked dreadful in game 1.

Trae may also grow tired of their lack of investment on the team. Alteady flashed trade request threats last season.

Brooklyn, Washington, Detroit and Toronto seem like the flag bearers. I could see Portland winning more than 30 games if the right guys stay healthy.

SAS is similar to us in that they have a lot of their talent concentrated in a smaller amount of players. I think we will shut down Lauri at some point, but the Spurs can do the same with Wemby. They've got some serious tank commanders on that team as well. Key did a great job last night, but he's no Malaki Brahnam.
