I bet the NBA scraps the 2 day draft idea next year.
It’s just pointless.
I know they try to copy the NFL in everything they do but this is just senseless.
I kinda see why Minny did it. They desperately needed more offense especially for non-Ant minutes, and their guards outside of Ant were pretty limited in that side of the ball.Detroit and SA were the teams I didn’t get. Minny picked a weird guy to add to a contender but I liked the value/thought process.
From a logistical standpoint with teams, the extra day might be useful for teams to assess the environment and make further deals to fill out their roster. Given the new CBA does crimp some trades quite a bit, it makes sense to me from that standpoint alone.I bet the NBA scraps the 2 day draft idea next year.

Plus, Minny play good enough team D that they can hide Dillingham's defense.I kinda see why Minny did it. They desperately needed more offense especially for non-Ant minutes, and their guards outside of Ant were pretty limited in that side of the ball.
NAW was their best guard off the bench and only one who got consistent burn in the postseason... so inserting an offensive sparkplug who doesnt burden your cap much makes sense. If either Shannon or Dilly develops into playable sub this year, they probably have use for at least one of them.
Between this and Keyonte last year, JZ is on a pretty good streak. You can tell why the FO was less bothered than fans about dropping from 8 to 10.If the Jazz were drafting anywhere from about 5 to 10, Williams would have been the first choice at any one of those picks
I think overall it’s a good night for them. Just the big knock on Dilly was he may not be able to play in the playoffs. It’s more of a long term play than me and other people are letting on but still kinda weird.I kinda see why Minny did it. You think in the first half of the year? They might put him in the Taylor Hendricks school of kids who can't ball good (yet.)I think Cody is going to play a lot.
I think because they owe everything to us, they saw this as their one opportunity to move up and draft a Conley padawan before he ages out.I think overall it’s a good night for them. you're not wrong. the fit isn't great. they are going to have to work that out. however, if collier is good enough that fit becomes a problem, it means the jazz knocked it out of the park at 29.am i the only who thinks sexton keyonte and now collier are points guards and not shooting guards. i would not play them together because of their defensive liabilities.
