2024 NBA Draft Reaction Thread

Something is not right with Griffin. It didn't make sense why he fell so far in the first place, then he has a great season only to be banished to the shadow realm. What's going on there?
He declared rapture coming any day now multiple times last fall, saw all kinds of signs, and also said Beyonce promotes satan and no one should go see her shows.

He is the guy at the subway station holding a sign.

I'm not sure there are any big moves to be made this summer. Based and recent trades the price to acquire even mediocre vets is sky high, and there wasn't anything in this draft that warranted cashing in a bunch of chips.

Still, sometimes you've got to make your own luck. And I've been pretty unimpressed with Ainge too. The team has spent the last two years chasing its own tail. Waiting for star players to fall into your lap isn't a viable strategy for the Utah Jazz, What's more, all those future picks everyone is so ga-ga over are all likely to be late first round picks of marginal value.

Clearly the correct strategy for 2024-2025 it to tank hard. But I'm not sure Ryan has the stomach for it.
I’d be happy to see our mediocre vets get traded for a much more fair price to help reset the market.

lol at using the term "serious talks" when discussing the 32nd pick in the draft where they would probably give the jazz two or three future seconds to get it.

So roster is loosely like

Sexton/Collier
Keyonte/Clarkson
Williams/Sensabaugh/Bazley
Lauri/Hendricks/Lofton
Collins/Kessler

That's everyone currently under contract/drafted?

Still think the Jazz can draft basically whoever they want outside of a small guard. They could still use another 2-guard. Pelle Larsson would be a great pick IMO if they want to go with an older prospect who can be a connector. Would also go with the Pac-12 theme.

Go Djurisic and stash him for a year or two.
