2025-2026 Tank Race Prediction Contest and Current Results Thread

West "tank race" is just getting started.

We got 3 games against Pels and 2 against Sactown coming up. In addition, those two play each other 3 times. Those 8 games may shake up standings a lot in West cellar.
Murray is coming back very soon. They will look to win. Another positive about them winning is, the bucks get the worse pick from the Pelicans or themselves so if the Pels start winning a ton, the Bucks cant ever tank past us.

The Wizards are really going for it. Here was their lineup against the Kings tonight for almost all of the 4th quarter:

  • AJ Johnson (1.7 PPG)
  • Anthony Gill (1.8 PPG, genuinely our Udonis Haslem)
  • Will Riley (21st overall pick this year, 5.6 PPG)
  • Sharife Cooper (0.8 (!!!) PPG)
and finally, Skal Labissiere. For additional reference, Skal is a 10 year vet who's been in the G-League since 2020. In his first game after we called him up, against Portland, he played 3 minutes. Tonight he played 26.

So how is signing a 10 year vet really going for it? They could grab any number of players who have never played a single NBA minute.

Bucks are legitimately the worst team in the NBA without Giannis and they will take all the odds they can get anyway. I wouldn’t put too much thought into that angle but I can see the logic.

Because of the 10 year vet being worse than dudes with little to no experience.
It's not the "10 year vet" that you should be focusing on. It's how bad the 10 year vet is.
Just being a vet doesn't make you good.
