2025 Annual All Time NBA Draft

I screwed up my draft so bad by thinking about the 20’s pick too much.
I ended up taking Franz Wagner with: Mourning, Mutombo, and quite a few others available. I’m sure I’ll lose because of that pick, though I’m trying to make up for it. Every guy on my list is getting taken though. I’m frustrated with myself.

I think that's what I've liked most about this version of the all-time draft. A lot of effort and thought was made and a ton of seemingly weird choices.

To me the best strategy was to use the sixth pick for a current guy and put him on the end of the bench. Wasting an early pick on a young guy is a head scratcher to me when they are not going to matter in the "competition" Is Anthony Edwards vs Tyrese Maxey on the end of the bench going to sway any votes?
I should have done it like that

Robert Parish (HOF) 1976
  • ✅ Hall of Fame, 4× NBA champion
  • ✅ Very durable, physical, mobile 7-footer
  • ✅ Good post scorer, elite midrange touch
  • ✅ Defended Kareem, Moses, Ewing in his prime
Why he fits:

Tough, calm presence with good size and defensive instincts. Won’t dominate, but won’t back down — and he’s an offensive asset too.

Apparently I’m rebuilding the 80’s Celtics. Needed a big durable player.

I'm adding Pascal Siakam. He gives me more versatility at the forwrad/wing positions, some decent outside shooting and defensive versatility.

Plus he's the sorcerer supreme of the NBA universe.

Gives me a line up of the following:
  • PG: Isiah Thomas (primary) // Tiny Archibald (secondary)
  • SG: Joe Johnson (primary) // Joe Dumars (secondary)
  • SF: Jayson Tatum (primary) // Cooper Flagg (secondary)
  • PF: Chris Webber (primary) // Pascal Siakam (secondary)
  • C: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

Continuing to round out my roster, I'll take:

Al Horford - C

Horford somewhat quietly built a great career as a well rounded big. Between JJJ and Horford I have some good stretch big shooting without sacrificing defensive prowess.

Depth Chart
PG - Haliburton (2020) / Iverson (1996)
SG - Havlicek (1962)
SF - Lebron (2003) / Hill
PF - JJJ (2018) / Kirilenko
C - Robinson (1987) / Horford
