2025 Annual All Time NBA Draft

Horry was literally going to be my next pick, haha. Good thing I have some other glue guys I can take with my last pick. But with my penultimate pick, I'll take:

Allan Houston - SG

With these last couple slots, I'm aiming less for overall talent and more for specific roles. I want a dead-eye shooter I can bring off the end of the bench if needed.

Depth Chart
PG Tyrese Haliburton / Allen Iverson
SG John Havlicek / Chauncey Billups / Allan Houston
SF LeBron James / Grant Hill
PF Jaren Jackson Jr / Andrei Kirilenko
C David Robinson / Al Horford

Why is Iverson backup pg? And Billups backup sg. They should switch.

@Strutter is otc again

Final Roster

PG: Gary Payton / Clyde Frazier / Ja Morant
SG: Michael Jordan / Anthony Edwards
SF: Dr. J / Paul George / Alex English
PF: Pau Gasol / Elvin Hayes
C: Alonzo Mourning / Dikembe Mutumbo

You did that on purpose
Not really. Just couldn’t pass on him again if he lasted this long. Heavily considered taking him over Clyde Frazier, but wanted to fill my backup PG spot with a guy and loved his value there. Felt like I could get a decent backup wing later with English, Schrempf, DeRozan and Booker still on my board. I was just glad one of them was still on the board when my picks rolled back around.

With my last pick, I want a glue guy. Someone to lift other people up, cheer from the bench, and fill in when his number is called. I'll take:

Shane Battier - F

He is one of the few Twyman-Stokes award winners (because players often win multiple years) so you know he's a great teammate. He can play SG/SF/PF and do it with solid shooting and defense.

Final Depth Chart (fixed so Thee Jazz Fan won't be mad at me)
PG Tyrese Haliburton / Chauncey Billups
SG John Havlicek / Allen Iverson / Allan Houston
SF LeBron James / Grant Hill / Shane Battier
PF Jaren Jackson Jr / Andrei Kirilenko
C David Robinson / Al Horford

With my final pick I'm going super old school with

Artis Gilmore - C

He's got more of that awesome 1970s cool than you'll ever have. I know a lot of you will discount his career stats from the NBA, but here they are for comparison sake

ABA (1971–1976) 22.3 ppg // 15.1 rpg // 2.5 apg // 0.7 spg // 3.2 bpg
NBA (1976–1988) 17.1 ppg // 10.1 rpg // 1.8 apg // 0.5 spg // 1.9 bpg
Career 18.8 ppg // 11.6 rpg //2.0 apg //0.6 spg // 2.3 bpg

Dude is no slouch and is a perfect replacement for Kareem. Pretty much gives me dominant scoring and rebounding as a back up center. He gives my shooters space to work and is a great rim defender.

PG: Isaiah Thomas // Nate Archibald
SG: Joe Dumars // Joe Johnson // Kyle Korver
SF: Jayson Tatum // Robert Horey // Cooper Flagg
PF: Chris Webber // Pascal Siakam
C: Kareem // Artis

Great pick. One other old-time center that I’m hoping gets drafted.
