Not going to lie, not real pumped after this draft -- but given my track record, that probably means we made out like bandits. Tough-shot takers (and hopefully makers) seems like a little bit like more of the same.

Still did relatively little to help team passing. Defense seemingly an afterthought.

Just hope that our coaching staff turns out to be outstanding in these areas (more optimism on the former than the latter).

I think Ace is more exciting when you think of him as higher skilled Jaden McDaniels instead of a wannabe Durant. Think he has the physical tools to be a great defender and while his defensive motor was inconsistent he does have a little bit of crazy in him like Jaden. Jaden was also once seen as some kind of baby Durant. Problem is that Ace 100% believes he's Durant. Right now it looks like he has the Kuminga mentality.

Was kind of weird Portland of all teams with them having Clingan. They got to get rid of Ayton somehow.

There has to be some serious red flags with Clingan for them to completely undercut him for Yang. Look for Portland to try and stealth offload Clingan next season.

I think they just like Yang. Both players might have issues playing major minutes due to their size, so they can split minutes well. Then pick the one to go with long term and trade the other when it comes time for 2nd contracts.

Contract year Ayton could be a beast. Honestly kind of love it for them.

You don't have to convince me but Clingan. It's not a good feeling having your replacement drafted a year after your drafted.

Ace is gonna be fine. I think this process and draft night are the gut punch he may have needed to get rid of some of the BS around him.
