2025 Off-Season Trade Ideas Thread

I read that Washington wants to draft Fears and is looking at trading up into the top 5 to draft Fears. Would you do #5 and #21 for #6 and #18? I am sure this has been brought up before I just didn't want to sift through 15 pages.

The Jazz draft Fears, Washington drafts who the Jazz want and swap? Same with the other picks.

Jazz could do that. They'd just make an agreement that Washington doesn't want the guy the Jazz want. Be aware that Washington may be putting out a smokescreen when they really want Ace or Tre, just like the Jazz do.

VJ should not be drafted anywhere in the least in the top 8. Maybe further. Had the same opinion on Cody Williams and got blasted for it by a ton of people so by all means blast away and I’ll take receipts

Dunc'd on Mock Offseason:

Giannis is not traded

Durant traded to MIN for Randle+DDV+Dillingham+picks

UTA (Pelton) demands the same price for Lauri as MEM received for Bane. Zero interest.

PG traded to BKN for TPE+swapping3/8+Another draft asset.

Trust it can work. I think they had him opt in + extension.
I think the only way that works and allows him to be traded immediately instead of having to wait 6 months is if the extension is for raises that are less than 5% each season.

Maybe that's still his best option if he doesn't care where he plays though.

Didn't I see an article with a source "Close to Bailey's camp" say that he would welcome the opportunity to play in Utah and "build a legacy?"

Or we could believe the twitter randos with a couple dozen followers. . .

Honestly, nobody knows.
recent reports indicate that Ace Bailey would "welcome" the opportunity to play for the Utah Jazz. One source even compared his mindset to Naz Reid's successful rise with the Minnesota Timberwolves, suggesting he wouldn't mind a similar situation in Utah, according to Sports Illustrated. However, another report suggests he might not be keen on Utah, viewing him as a riskier bet and not particularly interested in starting his career there, according to The J-Notes. This creates some conflicting information about his potential interest in playing for the Jazz.
