2025 Playoffs Chat & Chill Thread

They will undoubtedly take a hard look at why they lost and make some adjustments, no doubt. But I would wager it would be more on the fringe looking at depth more than any kind of overhaul. But I would seriously doubt they just stand pat if they lose this series.
I dont really see how they can improve their role players. They are pretty much maxed out when it comes to role player quality.

The obvious upgrade is turning Chet into Giannis.

I applaud your prediction of a Pacer's finals victory. You should quote your prediction you made before the series started that the Pacers would win it all and bask in the glory!
I mean sometimes it is OK to wait and see how things go down before loudly proclaiming an outcome. I still don't know if the Pacers win, but I do know that they aren't getting swept!

Yes, that part is now obvious of course, just seemed a bit condescending to sarcastically label the "experts" who, in your view, are now failed experts and worthy of derision, when you failed to make any kind of statement about it at all. I legitimately thought a sweep was in the cards, and so did much of the betting world, it was not a controversial position to take, really, and you know what, I and the others were wrong. It happens. And it doesn't hurt my feelings one bit. Just seemed kind of rude and disingenuous to proclaim your superiority when you didn't even have the courage to take a firm stand. It is easy to stay back, say nothing, then proclaim "told you so" from the sidelines. But hey, I am happy for you that, in your mind at least, you one-upped everyone who thought a sweep might happen. Nice job! ;)

I'm fine with talking trash to people who were making fun of anybody with contrary opinions prior to the start of the series. The whole "Anybody who thinks the Pacers have a chance is an idiot" group (don't know if they exist here and don't care enough to check).

But yeah, trash talking people just for saying "I think OKC will win this series easily" is lame, especially if you weren't predicting a Pacers victory beforehand.
