2025 Playoffs Chat & Chill Thread

No you are arguing that Robinson is a worse offensive liability based on your pedestrian common sense logic revolving around their scoring skills, yet Robinsons personal offensive rating is BETTER than both his teams or Hartensteins.

Also for the full season he is less of a negative than Hartenstein in on/off, despite often subbing with KAT who is a great offensive player.

Have you ever paustd to wonder why coaches try to drive him off the court? You think his mediocre rim protection or slow feet defensively have something to do with it?

I can give you a hint: R____________.

enjoy banging your head against a brick will with that ignorant mouth breathing clown.

Agree, tonight the loss is on Randle and ANT, 21 points combined 9-30, 1 on 10 at 3, 9 TO..... SGA give them a lesson tonight even i really dislike his constant flopping..

It’s crazy to me that a dude as athletic as Ant is chucking seven 3 pointers. Dude needs to play more like Flash and less like Ray Allen. As much as he wants to be that perimeter guy, he should live in the paint dunking on people, scoring off the elbow, and drawing fouls. Too often he lets defenses off the hook by being lazy and chucking some ill-advised 3 instead of lowering his head and taking it to the rim.

EHh, it's more on the soft defense they played, turnovers, and bad defensive rebounding

. Let their three best player get extremely comfortable 3s. They scored enough points to win the game. Does it really matter it came from role players than the stars.

I was listening to a podcast today and they said Ant has become like Harden where it's all 3s and rim, but in the playoffs the midrange is needed, but it's been so programmed out of some stars they can't score in the midrange as comfortably.

So yeah, I think we are seeing the desirability of the midrange game returning. I don't think it's a positive to try and turn your stars/best players into perfect analytics players (given they have some midrange talent)

The one trend I’m buying into playoffs wise is the value of turnovers/extra possessions. Shot distribution used to be the low hanging fruit, but now everyone has adjusted and while shooting will normalize over an 82 game season it’s still make or miss on any given night. You can’t really control for that, but you can try to control the possessions battle. You get extra possessions by offensive rebounding, you take possessions by chasing turnovers, and you lose them by turning it over yourself. Shai and Hali are the best because they can score and create, but they also take care of the ball. When offense efficiency is higher, the extra possessions also matter more.

I’ve seen multiple people talk about this, and it’s something I will admit that I’ve been slower on.

Hardy plays a system that is inherently higher turnover and so far we’ve had a defensive system that does not aim to force turnovers. One could argue that this is just the result of poor personnel, but if this is actually how Hardy wants to play we are that team who wouldn’t shoot 3’s back in the day.
