Welp, looks like we were right all along. The thunder swept that last game.


Seriously though, congrats to OKC. It's still great seeing new teams win the championship, instead of just adding another meaningless banner for the league powerhouse team. As in, it's great the Lakers and Celtics didn't win another one. **** them.

The Thunder moved from Seattle in 2008, and in the 17 years that they’ve been in OKC, it’s so interesting that this is the version of them that wins a championship - despite their history of having great players up and down the roster since they moved.

Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, James Harden, PG13, Serge Ibaka, Steven Adams, Domantas Sabonis, Victor Oladipo, Jerami Grant and old (less effective) versions of Al Horford, Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony all passed through before they actually won a Championship.
