A Big Move on the Horizon?

I think waiving Diaw decreased the likely hood of anything happening before the season starts.

Jazz open the season with this:

Gobert/Jerebko/Bradley
Favors/JJ/Udoh/Bolomboy
Ingles/Sefolosha
Hood/Mitchell/Burks
Rubio/Exum/Neto

I'm aware this probably isn't a perfect depth chart.

Just flip Jerebko (pf) and Udoh (c).

And I think we will see Ingles as the 6th man.

I think Sefolosha fits better with the starting group. And Ingles is already established as one of the 2 primary leaders of the team, along with Gobert. That gives you a glue guy and a leadership presence on both squads.

I bought half that island from all y'alls at pennies on the dollar. Fish and I will bank on that island being a popular resort in the wake of Hayward's departure and a year of getting his body back. You guys can come back for a nice December reunion to see all of the renovations. ;)

I'll take a share for myself, just a little hut will do for me.

Bradley and Bolomboy go to the G-League, Griffin is a 4 / 5 and Jerebko is just a 4. I think both JJ and Burks could see minutes at the 3.

I thought I read teams can offer 17 contracts; Griffin would make 16. He's head and shoulders about B & B, and if you ask me he could be better than Jerebko. I think the guy has the tools to be a rotation player.

I think I want Ingles out with the starters but either way is fine.

He's too good to be a two way contract dude imo. If he takes that deal his max is like 25% of what he could make on a guaranteed minimum deal.

Again, why?

Gobert
Favors
Thabo
Hood
Rubio

We have one shooter. Maybe two guys who can create a shot for themselves or others. It would be an absolute disaster.

Ingles will start for several reasons:
1) They're paying him $13M/yr
2) He's our best shooter
3) He's a good defender
4) He's better than Thabo
5) The 2nd unit will have Joe Johnson, Mitchell, and Exum. They don't need Ingles to run the offense or create.

So I fail to see how Thabo fits better in the starting lineup. Don't see it at all, unless you're starting Ingles at the 4. As far as leadership for the 2nd unit...give me a break. They'll have Joe Johnson and Thabo, two solid vets. It'll be fine.

I'd trade Burks for Leonard if it came with some first rounders and cash.

That is a bad bet... if you lose you are down a nut and the process to extract said nut can't be fun... if you win you just won a nut... bad deal by you.
Lol. Good point
