What does Hayward's race have to do with the issue? I think there is an argument for having it as a two game suspension. There seemed to be real intent on Affalo's part. Does anyone remember how many games Malone got for clocking Robinson?

why i mention his race is the way people treat him. why you think he got mad? because the whole game he is getting punked by a white boy.
some laker fans(frineds of mine) saw gordon hayward play at the rook soph game and sad damm white boy can play. so yeah race does have a lot to do with why aflolo did it.
not saying aflolo is racist as Carolina jazz, just saying getting punked by a white boy all game long and his image led to the elbow.

Why is that baffling? It's wasn't that big of deal. Hayward should have sold it more and laid on the ground for a minute.

I like exactly what Hayward did. Fell back and smiled. Then he graciously pointed the way to the guest locker room in case Afflalo was lost.

The people comparing this to the Smith/Griffin foul are ridiculous. That is a foul that could have resulted in serious injury, possibly (even though I didn't feel it was that bad). The foul on Hayward was just a player getting to hot and throwing a cheap shot in. Hayward obviously didn't even get hurt that bad (which is why I said if he would have sold it, we may be looking at two games).

1 game is the right call IMO.

Cy and Dutch you are wrong.
You two don't think an elbow to the head with a shoulder rotated behind it can do serious damage, that is ridiculous.
Aff's foul had potential to do serious harm, and unlike the other foul, it was clearly done with the intent to harm, and was not even part of a play.
Griffin was not even in the air when he was hit. He probably was acting to draw sympathy from the refs.

Uh, lets face it. Race does matter in basketball. I don't think it is necesarily derisive. It's just the way it is. White boys are not supposed to be that good. Once in a while they are, but generally, no.

You know Afolo was getting ticked just thinking about all the "Got puked by a white boy!" texts that were already waiting for him on his cell
