I hear a discussion on 1280 about KOC saying that Burk is too cocky for as much production as he is putting out???? And I'm like WTF you go and make some good picks for the first time in a longtime and now you are criticizing a player that deserves way more minutes. They were talking about how Burks minutes are on a steady decline. Discuss...Why isn't he getting a fair shot? Hayward even Wes got way more minutes you would think a lotto player needs minutes to get out there same with Kanter.
 
He seems to be taking more jumpers, and less attacking the rim. Probably due to scouting reports and fatigue.
 
I wonder if you're severely and hilariously exaggerating or just making the whole thing up.

Specifically her track "Bad Boys" ft Flo Rida? Odd topic for 1280 but that Jan and Gunther show IS on some next level ****. Radio virtuoso's, really.

I really have no opinion on her basketball skills though.

burks has been doing his best CJ miles impression lately. and i mean bad cj, the one that chucks, plays weak D and never passes, not even good CJ that opens up the floor.

last two games:
2-for-6 shooting, 1 rebound, 0 FTAs, -15 on court (all jumpers except for that one out-of-control runner where he jumped from behind the plane of the board and got blocked)
1-for-5 shooting, 2 rebounds, 2 FTAs, -12 on court (all jumpers except for one layup)

absolutely love the kid, but looking at that, it's hard to not conclude that the guy is basically turning down an open invitation to get more minutes.
 
Burks has an incredible talent, especially scoring instincts, but he really has no reason to be cocky, he should first learn to defend and be a complete player, and then i would understand him being cocky
 
He'll be fine. Burks needs to add pick and roll player to his repertoi though, like James Harden.

Hayward is white and alec is black and thats why hayward got the long leash. If hayward was black we would see all these threads dissing him like the cj miles thread. REAL TALK

It's not just lately - he's been playing like that all season. He shoots at roughly the same rate (per minute), shoots better for 2 but worse for 3, but because he misses from 2 feet instead of 20 feet, everyone has been giving him a free pass because he 'attacks', draws fouls (so does Miles, but CJ shoots nearly 80% from the line, Burks a woeful 70%) and he makes the occasional circus shot lay-up. The only thing he does better than CJ is shoot inside the arc at a slightly better rate, rebound more often, and foul less.

I know a lot of posters are excited about his style, but so far I see no substance to his game.

Of course the major difference is Burks is a rookie with a great foundation for success and Miles is a soft veteran who most certainly won't get any better than he is right now.
