What's new

If there is one player burks reminds me of I would say Andre iguadala. If he can play the game like him I would be very happy.
How? Maybe I'm missing something, but I just don't see it. I said it before the draft, but he reminds me of a more athletic Jeff Malone. Great midrange games, not great three Point shooters, and both. Can get to the free-throw-line. Jeff Malone could get his shot off no mater the situation.

Hayward for me. I don't think Favors is going to see a big leap in his skills until his 3rd or 4th year, much like Millsap.

I seem to remember Corbin raving about Favor's improvement in August (I think) and between that, his transformation into Dwight Howard 2.0 (sorry, I'm not looking for the thread) what should be an increase in minutes, and natural improvement with age and experience, I want to see what this boy is all about. I love Hayward but he seems to be a lot more what we've seen is what we're gonna get. A potential 16/5/4 guy who can shoot. Favors could be a 28/13 guy in five years or he could be a 15/10 guy. We just don't know. And that's what excites me.

Exactly. AI is a absolutely horrible comparison.

You also described ai. Except ai and burks are very good passers. Jm couldn't pass very well. Both burks and ai make their living in mid range and attacking the rim another thing Malone didn't do. I think ai is a better comparison.

If that happens, he would be better than Dwight Howard. Not sure I agree he has the potential to average 28ppg though...maybe 25, but most likely, I see his best seasons being around 23.

I predict Favors will be more known for his rebounding and defense. Though I do believe he'll have a several year stretch he averages 15ppg.

The only improvement I want to see in Favors next year is dominant rebounding. Anything else is gravy. As for Burks, I'll be thrilled if he can average 15 minutes a night by the end of the year. Anything else is gravy.

Very good post.
