Andre Drummond commits to UConn

Help me, not following the logic. Drummond could have entered the 2012 draft, but decided not to. Had he entered, that pushes players down to us .. now, all players shift up one spot.

Matters little though, very deep, very talented draft pool.

He can still enter the draft, no?

I think OP is saying that because Drummond is going to college instead of prep-school, he can meet the requirement of one year of college and enter next year's draft.

Gotcha. There was speculation he would enter the '12 draft but has since said he will not and will play for UConn and then declare (likely) for '13. Probably trying to read too much into the initial post. Sorry Spy.

It's all good.

Question though. When did Drummond say he wouldn't be entering the 2012 draft? I'm looking for that information and I can't find it. All the news reports I've read say that by committing to UConn, he's even more likely to be a top 3 pick this year.

He originally wanted to stay in prep school for one more year but changed his mind by committing to UConn. Now all signs point to him entering the 2012 draft.
