I don't mind Boler, he's not the issue, he's a pro.. I've actually come around on Ron Boone because of his old stories, when he gets the chance to tell them.. he struggles a bit but thats really not a big deal he's not the main guy.. I don't really care to hear Steve Brown or Thurl Bailey.
Harpring annoys me a bit, he's got a repore with Boler, I kinda feel like he repeats himself too much though.. The broadcasts are kind of vanilla and he's a reason why.. He should explain in-detail whats going on more, and talk about his opinions less -- we've heard all that **** already. Drop some knowledge on the offense!! tell the people what their looking at!! He's just so blatantly a company man too, thats lame and seems defensive to me - it's way overkill... There's plenty of room for improvement though, hopefully he gets better.
I understand all broadcast teams are slightly biased, and protect the brand. but I think Harpring does it to a fault, not so much on ref calls and such - He just makes too many excuses for players IMO. It's weak and almost sounds like he's pandering to the higher ups in the FO. Some of the stuff he says about Hayward, it's like he's reading off a menu at this point - Use better words!! When players are playing poorly, call them out for it!!
I'm sick of seeing Elijah Millsap and hearing his gaffes get damage controlled/unmentioned by the announcers. He's a 28 year old journeyman, who makes a pittance relative to the other players on the team, call him out when he does something stupid, he should be playing like his jobs on the line -- stuff like that is obvious but gets unsaid(why?!? it'd certainly add to the drama of the broadcast).
