I don't. I don't miss Jefferson.

I like him a lot as a person, and I really hope he finds a team that he fits into-- but it's not ours.

We can get some good pieces for Jefferson. We should get them.

Pretty much agree with this. I try not to rag on Jefferson too much, cause I like the dude. I think his game can produce winning basketball, but you have to have shooters and a defensive 4.

I think a lot of people on this site forgot about the Jazz's terrible track record developing big guys. Malone was a beast (and his work ethic will never be matched). Outside of him, it's been one disappointment after another.

Boozer and Okur were the same players before they got to Utah. That's why Utah signed them to huge free agent contacts and brought them here.

Millsap has developed though. Not in a typical big man way though since he's so undersized and his game is based on quickness and hustle. But he developed in Utah, definitely.

Now we have Jefferson staying after practice and working with Favors and Kanter 1 on 1. This is one of the best post players in the NBA, taking these guys under his wing.

And the results are plain as day for all to see. Both Kanter and Favors are doing some of the same moves as Jefferson in the post.

I say let these guys get as much practice time with Jefferson as possible. And Burks getting practice time against Bell isn't exactly a bad thing either.

Now if you're beef is how Corbin is using these guys, that's another matter. But Jefferson has been the "big man coach" the Jazz need for these guys.

Yeah, you might be onto something... I guess it depends on what you value more, practice or in game experience. Me personally, I would like to see the young guys play next season, but I can respect your perspective too.

Just because Jefferson is on the team and working with the young bigs in practice doesn't mean the young bigs can't play.

We don't have to lose possibly the best big man tutor in the league just because Corbin doesn't know how to distribute minutes. If Corbin can't distribute minutes adequately, then it's Corbin who needs to be dumped.

And you're overpaying him for what you're basically calling a "one side of the court" only coach.

Listen, I like Al, like many here, great dude, but you have to live and die with Al Jefferson offensively. His FG percentages basically can tell you if we won or not on any given night. Simply put he's not a guy to build a contender around because of his insane lack of defense and how much he dominates the ball offensively........IMO.

I don't hate Jefferson, but I hope that Corbin now realizes that he can win without Jefferson (and Bell) on the court. I'm not calling for Jefferson to be benched, but neither should his minutes be automatic anymore. If he's dogging it, there are two guys who have stepped up big and shown their ability.


Bell should never get another minute in a Jazz uniform. His antics with Corbin and the fact that he sucks should be enough that he gets shipped the **** out of here. With his adductors.

Malone is not walking through that door. Greg Miller was clear that he will never hire Malone. And even if he did, there would be huge distractions several times per year from their public disagreements.

Jefferson is one of the best post players in the NBA right now. No retired NBA player is going to duplicate battling Jefferson in practice ever day, and his personal tutoring after practice.

If it was so easy, the Jazz would have a much better track record developing big guys. It's not like they've never had young big guys with potential. Obviously not as much potential as Kanter and Favors. But wasn't Humphries the leading scorer in the Big 10 or something? And came into the league after only 1 year in college, as an athletic, ripped, 6' 10" kid who had tons of potential.
