Are people really bitching about O'Neale in a game he was +14?
And as good as he supposedly is on defense you would think he would be in the discussion for all nba defensive team since he is a starter on the team with the best record in the league and plays so many minutes. I wonder if he will make the all nba defensive team. He's 1/22 on 3's in the last 7 games and has now missed his last 15 attempts.
The bad thing is he stop shooting open 3s just because he is missing them. He should shoot them. That's the right play. When he is not taking those he is messing up our rhythm. And as good as he supposedly is on defense you would think he would be in the discussion for all nba defensive team since he is a starter on the team with the best record in the league and plays so many minutes. 25+ shots is not the same as 25 exactly dumbass. We just won two games in a row where he shot 25+ shots lmao.
It just sucks that half of drawing fouls is acting bull ****. We need to have Ersan do a taking a charge lunch and learn for all of our guys. There is honor in not participating in the bull **** but it definitely hurts our team. For sure, flopping matter
I believe the awkwardness plays a much bigger role, though. Gobert gets a pretty fair whistle in PnRs because he rolls hard and is comfortable in those situations but when he creates his own shot, he doesn't really command respect.
It's one of the reasons Jokic doesn't get fair enough whistle too. He has an awkward body.
Beal looked much more fluid and in control so he gets the benefit.
Shoot 3 in rhythm. Not pause. We can win the whole thing but we have to:
- stay healthy
- shoot 40% from 3
- stay out of foul trouble
- make the extra pass
- hope we don't play an opponent that has two guys go off like Murray and Jokic did last year

Yeah, a few plays before Gobert dropped his shoulder right into ROLO for that dunk. I thought that was a pretty obvious offensive foul, but ROLO didnt react to it in the purpose of a drawing a foul, so he didnt get the foul.Officiating in the nba is stupid. I think it was the very next play that Ingles absolutely gets plowed by Beal but does the normal human reaction instead of crumpling to the ground and it was a play on.
The refs were trash tonight... not just against us... they were really bad
Absolutely. Rolo and Joe both did what guys do in normal situations... instead of falling to the ground. The charge block is the more obvious example of acting... the other arm flailing and over exaggeration that goes on likely has a bigger effect on the game. The refs stopped calling fouls they could see a long time ago and started going off of reactions, acting, and other attempts to deceive. Half the time I see a ref call a foul there is literally no way for them to see contact because they have no angle. It tends to lean towards superstars and DM is starting to figure things out so it won't be as big of a disparity as it has been over the years.Yeah, a few plays before Gobert dropped his shoulder right into ROLO for that dunk. You really do have to flop, to some extent, to get calls your way.
We are who we are on defense. You can't really say "defend the perimeter" and truly measure it. We have to do our best but if we win, it's because we hit levels on offense. Our defense could be better, but we lack the personnel to really make that our calling cardYou missed defend the perimeter, and limit second chance points.
And then you have the plays where the ref watches to see if the shot goes in before deciding if they are going to blow the whistle or not.Absolutely. In other news... Rudy is pretty bad flopper... he's just kinda awkward and obvious about it. He is trying sometimes though.
Agreed. I think you should always shoot a 3 in that situationGoing for 2 after Beal missed 2 was kinda dumb.
But damn I would trust Mitchell with my life when he has that expression on offense.
Just like pro wrestling.Yeah, a few plays before Gobert dropped his shoulder right into ROLO for that dunk. I thought that was a pretty obvious offensive foul, but ROLO didnt react to it in the purpose of a drawing a foul, so he didnt get the foul.

Pretty sure you can't find a starter playing that many minutes who scores less.2 points in 36 minutes. 32 points in the last 9 games. That's 3.5 point per game in 33 minutes per. Find me one starter in the entire nba that's worse and I'll digress.
Exactly... its all reactionary. Call it as you see it.. if you don't see it don't call it.And then you have the plays where the ref watches to see if the shot goes in before deciding if they are going to blow the whistle or not.

That one is based on reaction too. If he doesn't lay on the ground and acts hurt he likely doesn't get that call. It wasn't where he hit him imo... it was that the guy was in the air and vulnerable and Royce wasn't making a play on the ball. I was fine with it.I didn't read through this gamethread but what was the reaction in here to that flagrant foul call on royce?
He hit the dudes arm. Didn't hold the arm and pull the guy down or anything.
How the **** was that a flagrant. That might have cost us the game

Second time we have done that in the last few games. I thought Snyder was some statistical genius... kind of a basic bitch move tbh.Agreed. I think you should always shoot a 3 in that situation

I hope he just continues with that sort of confidence. It wasn't just that shots were going in... it was that there wasn't hesitation or second guessing. Finished on a couple layups he'd been missing. Would really be nice if now he is back to first half of the year 2020 Bogey.Sure was nice to bogey drilling threes like a sharpshooter.
If we get that bogey in the playoffs then I think we win the title.
