Mavs are playing like they know they can get what they want vs Utah and they know they have to play 100% to have a chance.

Utah is playing like they know if they just play their game plan Dallas just doesnt have enough firepower to win, even if they played perfectly, so they can give 80% effort.

I don't think the Jazz are loafing, they are playing frightened. Their game doesn't really work like that.
