Yup... also I felt strongly that Xavier Tillman is a better big prospect and does things we sorely need. So I didn’t love the pick on two fronts but I understand what they were after in a vacuum.Udoka > Bradley. I’m totally fine not criticizing the pick. It’s everything else around it that’s stupid. If he’s your guy, great. Go out and get Udoh on the minimum.
Udoka is nearly two years younger: 01/08/1998 (Bradley) 09/17/99 UdokaWhat is Udoka's age versus Bradley
Udoka might be older than Bradley even though Bradley has been in league three years
No the jazz as an organization is likely sitting on substantial assets, including cash. It will cut into cash flow and margin, but it isn't like they have no money and if they have to pay the tax they will have to panhandle to get the cash.Yeah. One important thing to remember with new ownership...where does his money come from? IF the Jazz go into the tax and lose 50 million, how does he pay that? Out of his own pocket? Yikes. I don't care who you are, losing 50 million is a big deal.
IF he wants to stay in Utah, he has to find a way to get cash flow from somewhere, preferably not the Jazz. IF he can't find a way to get cash flow to cover the Jazz in lean years you have one of three options: 1 - Move the team. 2 - Sell the team. 3 - Never go into the tax.
Tough future for the Jazz.
There are multiple ways to **** this up... one would be to give the supermax. It just doesn’t work out. Regular max is already pushing the limits given his position and potential to be a millstone if there were injuries.

One thing I'd like to remind the masses is that they said very similar things about TB and how, had he stayed one more year, would have been a top 10 pick the next year.
Yeah, it's that latter part that's the problem. And to combine two thread discussions into one, don't be surprised if we dump Conley mid-season for Exum.Nice, I'm all for Lindsey pumping up his own players - as long as he doesn't start believing it!
He was high in some defensive box plus minus and other measure... Tillman was higher but whatevs.I hope it's not the same analytics model that told them Tony Bradley is a top 10 prospect. It's very possible that model overvalues something insignificant like individual rebounding for example.
Here would have been my follow-up question:He was high in some defensive box plus minus and other measure... Tillman was higher but whatevs.
it very well be an archaic PER or similar measure that values rebounding and a high FG%. Having him top 10 on a big board is uhhhhh bold?
