Chasing guards around screens, bodying up 7-foot centres, the 24-year-old is doing a stellar job regardless of who he's tasked with defending.

After finishing fourth in DPOY voting last season behind Giannis Antetokounmpo, Anthony Davis and Rudy Gobert, Simmons has made it a two-horse race with Gobert, who is looking for his third DPOY award this season.
