I have been promoting CJ Miles for years. Because of his athletic ability and his slashing ability. Along with his shot that looks effortless. But his game has not evolved.

He never gets to the free throw line and his shoots more 3's than free throws. He is good at getting to the hoop and is a good free throw shooter but he doesn't do it. Hardly ever.

Hayward provides a lot more for the team. Miles shouldn't play anymore. Hayward needs to develop. Bench him and don't pick up his option next year.

Hayward won't shoot us out of games. Miles will. I don't like having a guy who can either go for for 20 points or shoot 1-10. When those 20 point games only come every 10 games.

Bench CJ all together. Let Hayward and Evans play. Guys who will make there teammates better.
 
CJ already is benched. He's not a starter.

Sadly, Hayward isn't the answer and Evans cannot play the 2/3.

Until we get anything better (which will have to wait until the offseason) we must play CJ. There's just no other alternative.
 
CJ isn't benched in the manner the OP means - permanently. As in 12th man role. He could be that token 12th man that will go off for 20 in a blow out, but never someone who should be relied on to play a part in winning the game. Someone whose contributions are... gravy.

Edit: Not saying I disagree with you, our hands kinda are tied for now. Man we ****ed up this off season with the wing situation.

We need to just sticky "I hate ________, let's choke his *** out" for every player on the team. This will alleviate this garbage type thread from popping up every 8 or so hours.

I love you in more ways than you know. I've probably neglected repping your brilliant posts, but really it's not my fault. I often run out of daily rep thrashing Log, Trout, and of course Moevillini with random "you smell like Jazz. --Love, Franklin". negative reps. I just don't have time for credit with all the bull **** that goes on around here. Poop and demotivation? Come on.

This Jazz team desperately needs to develop a "DEFENSE FIRST" mentality. Right now CJ is the worst defender on our 12-man roster. 'Nuff said...
 
I agree that CJ has not developed, but Raja is way worse than CJ. Raja's defense has gotten to be very mediocre, if not worse, he can't put the ball on the floor and create for himself or anyone else, and his shooting has been miserable as well. It really seems like we play 4 on 5 with him out there. Bottom line, Hayward will be, if not already is, better than them both and should be collecting the majority of their minutes.
 
I'll just settle with booing every time he touches the ball or his name is announced.

This is how I feel. Cj is not that good but Bell is worse.
