What's new

Big AL + Milsap on floor together in 4th = no bueno

We saw it again tonight against the spurs...Al got abused on help D situations...got abused on the boards...he was non existent in fourth.

Make sure you bump this after every loss. Consistency is key.

Jefferson's defense is HORRENDOUS. This is the case whether we win or lose. Always, and without fail. Actually, the fact that you don't see it shows that NOTHING he does or doesn't do will alter your preconceived opinion.

You must be religious.

You're a genius. Really, thanks for posting.

No problem. Please go ahead and try to find a 4 minute stretch or whatever when a random big failed to score so that you can attribute it to Jefferson's D.

You mad? I'm mean you're showing so much self constraint already. ****, 13 games into the season with a new roster and you're cold as ice. I envy you, like, a lot.

My issue has nothing to do with the length of time he's been on the team. His confusion on the floor, his inability to mesh with the offensive flow, and his insistence on doing his push hook from 5 feet out when he can easily dunk it or use the glass are understandable. He is a recent addition playing way out of his comfort zone. His failure to box out every single time, or provide any help defense whatsoever, even when a 6'0 guard pretty much drives a couple of steps from him ARE NOT.

Nice black and white analysis....

I'm "religious." Gotta problem?

Problems like these are expected. I said this at the beginning of the season, that the Jazz frontcourt were even shorter than last year';s and they might have a problem banging and outrebounding opponents on some nights. A couple of guys here were arguing that Jefferson had great size for a center and our interior defense automatically improves and all that. You put a 6-8 guy at PF who has to help all the time and a 6-10 guy at center who has never been known as a physical player or as a good P&R defender, you are going to get killed on the boards some nights.
