When I was in high school I worked at a small supermarket - we put an AD in the paper for stockboy and my boss told me if anyone who "sounds black" calls in for the job, just tell them it's taken.
One would have to be most ignorant not to recognize that these prejudices still exist, so this is not exactly earth-shattering news.
The question is, what's the solution? What can we do to (as northeast would say) blur the lines?
Artificially leveling the playing field, IMO, only exacerbates prejudice and racial tension.
So how do you force people to take race out of the equation?

What's the basis for your opinion?
Could you defend it against an alternate hypothesis that if there were more black doctors, more people would see black people are having equal potential to be a doctor?
