Blu Ray Ripper

I just got a new lap top that has a Blu Ray disc reader. I know, right? Anyways, I would like to back up my Blu Rays to my computer so I can watch them in between classes or when I'm on vacation, etc. Anyone know of a good Blu Ray ripper that works pretty good and isn't too expensive?

Thanks!

imhe(e stands for experience). i'd just download them from usenet:P. its faster than ripping if you got a decent internet conection that is

Congratulations on the new laptop. I too also purchased a new laptop recently that has a Blu-ray drive. To answer your question, I would recommend DVDFab (https://www.dvdfab.com/). I've used it the past for copying DVDs. It always worked great for me. The basic version that just rips the files from the disc is free. The full featured version that does other stuff is free to use (all the features) for 30 days. In the past I just kept downloading the free version again after the 30 day trial expired rather than buying it. Enjoy the laptop.

Oh I forgot to mention don't be fooled by the name. DVDFab does rip Blu-ray discs.

Thanks. I have a question though, I ripped one of my blu-rays and when I play it, it has some guy explaining the actions of the actors. How do I turn that off before I rip it?

Some tool bag gave me bad rep saying it was illegal to rip my own Blu Rays. I'm assuming it's either Kicky or Darkwing. Is it really illegal to rip my own Blu-Rays to put on my own laptop? BTW, who ever red repped me, maybe you should grow a pair and sign it, eh?

no it is NOT.

as long as you own the bluray disc.
ripping then reselling that disc is illegal

It was not me; I would have simply posted that rather than red repping and running away. Although I'm somewhat surprised how many people care about their reputation score on the board.

I don't think so, although you might be surprised what the discs terms of use are. But most people who rip movies aren't doing it for reasons within the law. It could be that someone simply didn't believe your explanation.
