I probably like the old ads and the article's 1950's POV more than the actual content. Pretty crazy if that can really happen in such a short period of time. Any volunteers to do this on their own and report back? Any truckers ever seen the black dog?

Been there. 23 straight days in ICU and recovery with the most basic TV in the room, and some books and a hand held game of Monopoly. For 17 of those days fully conscious and alert just waiting for my vitals to improve and by body to remove the chemo (I didn't metabolize that one well). Boredom is hell. I had enough distractions that I didn't hallucinate but I had some mighty weird dreams including one where my very cute nurse came in the room, disrobed, then began to dismember me while I was awake, starting at my feet.

Overall that one hospital stay was one of the worst experiences I had related to my year and a half of treatment for my illness.
