Brian Windhorst @ESPN picks Derrick Favors as Most Improved Player in 2011-12

The guy is obviously a genius.
As much as I like Favors, I think DeAndre Jordan might be the favorite right now. Clippers are going to get a lot of media attention and Paul should be able to create a lot of opportunities for his bigs to put up numbers. Favors will be overlooked because his offensive numbers won't be huge.

No way Deandre Jordan gets most improved. He averaged what, 7 and 7 last year? He might be able to go up to 10 and 10, or something along those lines. He is still going to be out rebounded by Griffin and the 5th option at all times offensively.
 
Most Improved is just really all about who had the biggest statistical uptick.

I got Favors at 15ppg and 8rpg at about 28mpg.

Is that enough to win MIP?
 
Favors has a real shot at it. Not many guys who started out the way he did last season are in a position this season to see a serious jump in minutes with potentially a corresponding jump in performance.

Aw hell, just give it to him now!

LET'S JUST GET THE SEASON STARTED ALREADY!!!!!!!!1!!!!!!!2!!
 
Memo.....he will be much better this year than last year.

Seriously though, how about Hayward? He's going to improve a lot from his average from last year.
