How can no one see that Mitchell and Burks game are similar. The leash is the difference if Mitchell was getting Burks treatment he wouldn't be the star he is becoming and visa versa.

I don't know that I'd say the leash is different because talent level is different (though talent level certainly is different). I think it's more about mental makeup and maturity (not to imply Burks is flawed mentally or immature, but just that Mitchell is an extreme outlier).Maybe, just maybe, the leash is different because the talent level is different.

I think out of this world is right. Here in the real world, people don't make trades based on D-League stuff.I say send AB to the DLeague and have every play run for him and his trade value will be out of this world.
There are plenty of immature super stars in the league. LeBron said it when he said it is about opportunities. Mitchell gets them. Burks didn't because they were all given to Hayward when Burks was healthy. I remember the first couple of game that Burks got the ball he was averaging 20 points a game going to the free throw line gouging defenses. Now he is selfish and immature. Funny how opportunities can or lack of can create a stigma for a player.I don't know that I'd say the leash is different because talent level is different (though talent level certainly is different). I find your ability to find discontent fairly remarkable. Do you remember Hood being better than Hayward? Now DL hits a grand slam in the draft (the entire league is talking about it) and now we've got Mitchell = Burks. There are plenty of immature super stars in the league. I never said we have to equate the two. But, if you can't find the hypocrisy then you have polished the past as well as the present. Look at Lyles or Kanter other pieces of the youth movement that got marginalized that are contributing on new teams. Hood has had opportunities where others haven't we can't really say we develop players. We develop some players while others we squander their talents.I find your ability to find discontent fairly remarkable. Do you remember Hood being better than Hayward? I'm not an Alec Burks hater, but he is not in the same conversation as Mitchell in terms of talent, potential or anything. Here is the comparison used in the article I just shared in the "Would You Trade" thread:
The Jazz have also been linked to talks regarding often-injured guard Alec Burks, who has one more year on his deal after this season and has become somewhat expendable with the emergence and dominance of rookie Donovan Mitchell.
