Interesting. The Daily Mail ain't a great source, and that particular set of data seems cherry-picked that contradicts what it says later in the paper (based on real research of a larger sample size) that full vaccination has an 81% efficacy against the Delta variant.

That being said, we should be vigilant about variants and this is still troubling.

I know that there are reports that he is "fully" vaccinated, I am engaging in conjecture.

Probably not. It's much more likely he was exposed without developing the disease.

This is data about what actually is happening from the PHE. Not a research paper. It could change over time but that is the initial numbers.

The NBA COVID protocol agreed to prior to the start of the season states a player must sit out 12 days from the time of his first positive test or from the day he last had symptoms.

Despite being vaccinated, even though the risk of transmission is lower, it still exists. So, if he's positive, he will not be available for the next 10-12 days depending on when he received the first positive test. I doubt the NBA downgrades this at all because him playing while positive could create an even bigger ****-show.

So, that means he'll likely be available on 6/27 or 6/28. If the Jazz can win in six, that most likely puts him out for games 1-4.

So, Utah needs to win these next two games.

Chris Paul received the Pfizer vaccine. He's going to be fine. It will likely be similar to Bill Maher, who also had the Pfizer vaccine and also tested positive, but never got sick. Maher quarantined from his show because the protocols dictated that he should, but he never felt a thing.

Most of the people in the UK aren't getting the same vaccines Americans are. Even if those numbers are accurate, such failures don't necessarily mean Americans are at risk.
