Chris Paul to the Rockets - Beverly is off the table

Reality check. The Rox finished ahead of us last year, just upgraded their starting point guard spot in a big way, and have made a WCF in the last few years unlike us.
Yep, and their window will be 2 or 3 seasons of getting their *** handed to them by somebody.

This will be Brooklyn part 2.

I was impressed this year with Hoods defense. He finally is coming around to being a decent defender. Now if he can stay healthy and find consistency shooting I will be happy. Although I would also be okay with trading him if it gets us a solid player.

I just worry about health with him. He gets a lot of lift on his jumpers... needs healthy legs. Guys also get under him all the time (without calls). If he could get consistent health he's an effective high teens maybe 20 ppg guy.

His defense is around average... like maybe a C-

Ha!

Harden, Paul and Melo fighting over one ball!
I would love that!
I would love to see any team acquire Melo in the hopes of creating a super team

Just stepping in to say Harden and CeePee gonna be the whiniest floppiest duo in the game. What a tragedy for the dignity of the game. WWE of the NBA.

This is... new.

If Gordon wants to go to Boston, will Utah work out a similar trade with Boston as the Clips did with Houston. Gordon would have to opt-in and then be traded. Who would you want from the Celtics? What about Hayward and Favors for Horford and some of Boston's Picks?
I do think this is something we need to explore...

If we're going to trade assets for a star, instead of trading for George as a potential one-year rental I would much rather trade for someone who's inked for a few years like Lillard.

Don't be scared. Be proud of who you are. IF Utah traded for George and IF we won 60+ games, he'd resign. He ain't walking away from that to go to LA.

Hell, all "sources" out there have said George values winning over LA and if traded to Houston or Boston he'd resign if they were winning.

Go win. People like winners.

Why do people think Hood will suddenly get better? He is the same player he was as a rookie, he is the same player he was as a second year player, he is the same player as he was last year. He hasn't improved. He's gotten worse if anything.

He is not the player you think he is. He is maybe a slightly better CJ Miles. Nothing more. He is a nice bench player, a poor starter.

Can't believe I actually agree with green. Maybe Hood hasn't improved much because of injuries. Although he has added the nice pull up in the lane to his game. Still though, just as inconsistent as always. And sorry, I don't see much defense. Jazz are better with Ingles as the starter. I'm perfectly ok with Mitchell taking Hood's minutes as backup SG.

I am little late to the party but in line with the topic ...
can you imagine when the Jazz beats the Rockets in the playoffs (if the Jazz get to be paired with them) - does not matter if with or without Hayward.
Jazz beating Rockets with Paul and Harden!! that would be awesome!

The irony of this post is that Green was bitching up a storm about DL trading a single pick on Hill because he could leave in a year. Now he wants to make a move that could absolutely cripple the team and start a long, drawn out rebuild if George, who has made it pretty clear he will be in LA next year, decides to bolt.

It's one thing if you could get him at a discount, but there are 3 teams right now desperate to trade for him, and probably a dozen others who have made offers. George Hill was never a likely scenario. It's much more likely we get a very good player by facilitating George's trade to somebody else.
