What's new

Coach Hardy is the Victor Wembanyama of head coaching hires.

Just a reminder Jeff Hornacek's 1st year of coaching he won 49 games with a team people thought would finish last and then he proceeded to never reach that level again and got fired twice.

Frank Layden's seven seasons with the Jazz.
1st year missed playoff
2nd year missed playoff
3rd year lost in second round
4th year lost in second round
5th year lost in first round
6th year lost in first round
7th year lost in second round

He was then succeed by coach Sloan at age 56

Quin's first seven seasons with the Jazz:

4th year lost in second round
5th year lost in first round

Not enough games to have a comple opinion. But i love his ITW and the ability to change line up at money time and make adjustment when players does not have a good night. Something Quinn stop to do last year. Wait and see but he may be a fantastic coach.

To be fair, that year the league was so bifurcated it wasn't funny. There were some truly horrendous teams and a preponderance of mediocre teams. With any effort at all you could get to .500 just feasting on the empty calories of the Eastern conference (and the Jazz, who also sucked that year.) Outside of the top 10 teams, the rest sucked so bad that somebody had to rise. That year it was the Suns. That is nothing like this.

I think the moral of the story here is cocaine has very good anti-aging properties.
