Cody Williams Star Ascension Watch Thread

Bryon was a better shooter, but Cody has a bit more speed and athleticism. Honestly though, Russell's greatest strengths were intangibles: hustle and willingness to fit a role. I think Cody has shown some humility (maybe too much) and while the hustle/motor looks better, I think we still need to wait and see.

Peyton Watson and Anthony Black would be better comparison. Both were more of transition threats with questionable outside shooting. Neither did much in their first two seasons. So there's still hope.

Cody has now made a 3 pointer in 9 out of our 16 games in January after only making a 3 pointer in 2 of his first 20 games. He's now shooting 36% in January after shooting 18% to start the year.

It appears as if his shot doctoring over the summer is finally paying off. If Cody can get to be a 40% 3pt shooter on open 3's then I think he is a real player in the league.

He's passing up more shots lately. Sometimes smartly, often times not.
