What's new

Come on Man.....................really?

Stop, Bodhi, your words are like a million magical pixies dancing and singing in my head. Please reconsider my offer to impregnate you with many many children, like only us Utahns can. I'd build you a nice house, with a picket fence, and I'd even get you a minivan. ;)

I said yes, bro.

Really? I heard that making the 8th seed is the most important thing a team can accomplish. It establishes a winning tradition and ensures the youth always play their hardest for the rest of their careers. Are two potential stars, or valuable assets to trade for a star, worth losing the 8th seed and thus our culture, future, and everything that makes America so great? Of course not. Screw the lottery. Bring on the OKC sweep!

Good stuff.

This.

Apparently to be a fan of the Jazz you must route for mediocrity.

At least that is what I get from the OP.

It's pretty simple math. If we make the playoffs, we're going to get ****-stormed in the first round and we lose our pick. If we miss the playoffs, hopefully fighting, and hopefully by losing the majority of games left, we'll get a draft pick, and here's the key, get a talented player on our roster. Do we not want to continue to flood our roster with talent?

While we're young and talented, we still have holes and need to spackle them accordingly. A point guard. A multi-skilled, longer 3. These are these we legitimately need and we can't pretend we don't. The upcoming draft with two possible lottery picks is the best way to get this done and might I say, get it done with potentially excellent talent, not NBA retread at 5M per year who complains about playing time the first time he gets pulled.

What if making the playoffs turns out to be a bad thing? What if the Jazz get swept and lose every game by 30+ and it just destroys the confidence of the young guys, and they all commit suicide or something. Or they quit the NBA cause they are scared.

If the playoffs can have such a huge impact in you as a player for the rest of your career then shouldn't we be worried about what it could do the other way?

If that were to happen then these same players are already weak and would just infect and instill that same weakness into the next crop of youngins' the Jazz would get next year and would just be delaying the inevitable. So what you're really saying is that you don't want a small mass suicide you want a bloodbath of cult size suicide, what are you sick or just a tainted kool-aid vendor?

As a matter of fact I am a Kool-Aid vendor. I am a sixth distric west rep. How much would you like to order? I got all the best Kool-Aid you just let me know I can hook you up.

Plus the Kool Aid I got will help you with your fitness goals. It burns fat and makes you look younger. It's designed to turn up your metabolism and release human growth hormones. And it it now 65% less fat and also gluten free. Not to mention it is also high in vitamin C and D.
