I'm still dirty we couldn't extend him and wasted that $14mil in cap space.
I think the Jazz can still use the cap space in a trade before Jul 1, so I'm hopeful they won't just let it go to waste.

If we got CP3 and hayward stays, we are gonna be so close to Warriors. And only team in the league who has a chance to compete with them.
Paul has underachieved lolLmao
CP3 would for one never go to Utah and
It still wouldn't make them close 2 GSW
Paul has underachieved at every stop on his road so why would that change going to Jazz?

It would be asinine for Paul to stay in LA and continue to fight against Golden State with their talent pool. I don't think $$$ is as big of a consideration as some are making out here. He already has more than he will ever spend, and he lacks a serious trophy.
He would be a fool to not take the opportunity to team up with Leonard, Aldrich, and Popovich.
We ARE getting Paul or Westbrook! Preferably Westbrook but I will take Paul or George or Butler. Sorry Hill, but you got greedy an we are in win now mode.
The Spurs would not lose Aldridge. But they would likely have to lose either Gasol or Parker and all of their free agents. Manu would have to take a huge pay cut to stay if he doesn't retire. And even after all of that maneuvering San Antonio wouldn't be able to offer CP3 the max. He'd have to settle for around 23-24 million per year. I just don't see it happening.
I think the Spurs are ACTIVELY trying to move Aldridge.
I would be stunned if they moved Aldridge before Gasol or Parker in an attempt to bring in CP3. Gasol is going to be 37 this July. Parker is 35 and plays the same position as CP3. Manu is going to be 40 in July. None of these guys will be around in the NBA much longer. Aldridge is the only relatively young player in the core around Kawhi.
The only thing with the Spurs is they're always good, and so their draft picks will always be 25 or lower. Depending on what happens with the Jazz off-season, I wouldn't mind Aldridge if the Spurs gave up a few first rounders for the relief. Rotating Aldridge, Favors (if he's healthy) and Gobert between the 4-5 would be a nasty front court. So many possibilities this off-season.
I mean I'd take Danny Green from them and trade Hood to someone else
Can we make room to absorb Aldridge without sending anything back except maybe some future picks? I doubt they go that route but if they do we should be in position to grab him.
Then go after PG13. That's my starting lineup next year that wins it all and is a real possibility:
Exum
PG13
Hayward
Aldridge
Gobert
Sent from my Nexus 5X using JazzFanz mobile app
Exum/Teodosic/Neto
Hayward/Hood/Ingles
PG13/JJ/Ingles
Aldridge/Lyles/Bolomboy
Gobert/Withey
13 players. Damn that would be killer.
If I were Utah, I would have to be paid to take Aldridge. The game has moved away from him, he is only getting older, and he needs touches to be happy.
