Crazy basketball stats that you didn't know

Watching a program on NBA channel called Wilt 100 chronicling Wilt's 100 pt game and other Wilt stories.

Here's a crazy stat:

In 1961-62 Wilt played every minute of every game(80 games) except for 8 minutes of one game because he got thrown out. That's 48 minutes/game. Oh by the way, he averaged 50 PTS and 25 REB that season.

Wilt actually averaged OVER 48mpg that year because he played in several over-time games.

At the end of his career when he was 36 he was averaging 43mpg.

I've read somewhere that he suffered from terrible insomnia and would just go without sleep on many nights before games.

I don't care how supposedly non-competitive the league was back then Wilt was a once in a thousand year specimen.

...I have to respectfully disagree! Those teams back then actually ran plays and worked for decent shots! Launching shots with 10 seconds left on the 24 second clock was virtually unheard of...unless they had a fast break going! Todays NBA clowns will launch shots in a half-court set with 18 seconds left on the 24 second clock and force more shots than you can shake a stick at!
I'll bet you are vastly underestimating how many shots I can shake a stick at.

Plus he was having sex with about three different women every night. Years after his NBA career he used to attend an event I was involved with in Park City, and it was obvious he was still sleeping with different women at an impressive rate even then.
