Portland has been playing plenty nice with Lillard by agreeing to pay him $63m at age 36. If he had taken a pay cut or something out of loyalty or to help making it easier to build around him I could see Portland owing him, but as it stands I don’t think they do. I like Lillard but demanding to be traded to Miami is disappointing and if I were Portland I’d just try to get the biggest return, regardless of which team offers it.
And you would be paying him twice as much as a JC or Sexton.I just struggle to see Hero as an impact player, and if he’s better than anyone of THT, JC, or Sexton, it’s not by much if at all and you have us trading two skilled rotation players and a first? Doesn’t seem worth it to me.
For an extra year tooAnd you would be paying him twice as much as a JC or Sexton.
He doesn’t have a vetoWhere's the reports saying he wants to go here. I see he only wants to go to an Eastern contender
He has a very expensive veto if be chooses not to report and play. Utah should of course chat with him before pulling the hypothetical trigger on any trade to see if he'd be willing to play here, even if he does not have a lot of choice where he ends up...He doesn’t have a veto
Oh, please, Lillard isn't going to hold out if he doesn't go to Miami. He would literally go from being one of the most respected players to the most hated. His endorsements would drop and his legacy would be tarnished far more than the Blazers would be, or the team that trades for him.He has a very expensive veto if be chooses not to report and play.
