Danger Days: The True Lives of The Fabulous Killjoys

This was a pretty good show. I haven't heard good things about MCR live, but they far exceeded any of my expectations.

This was the first concert I've seen in Utah outside of ESA and Usana, and I've gotta say... if The Venue is one of the top venues in SLC, then Salt Lake really trails in comparison to every other city I go to concerts in. If you weren't upstairs by the bar or in the front couple of rows, I doubt you could have seen the band that well. There was audio equipment crap stuffed into the corners of the venue, and the acoustics were terrible.

However, it was a pretty intimate setting for such a popular band, and I really enjoyed it, and it was probably the best vocal performances I've seen... artists have a tendency to pull back a bit, live. Gerald Way seemed to leave it all out there.

Good show.

I was actually a bit disappointed with this show. I have seen MCR live multiple times, and this show ranks at the bottom of my list. In The Venue sucks!! It's a terrible venue. I wish it would shut down already. MCR had no business playing in such a small venue. Due to being sold out, it was beyond packed. The sound was pretty bad. It's like they had a sound system meant for a much bigger venue. I have seen MCR in arenas, and those shows sounded far better. Despite these complaints, MCR did put on a good show. It was just hard for it to live up to previous MCR shows I've seen. The Black Parade Tour was the best I have seen from them. After the show I actually found myself wishing I had gone to see Lenka instead. She was playing in the Club Sound side of In The Venue at the same time as the MCR show. Lenka is actually better suited for a small venue, unlike MCR.
