It sounds like Aldridge is ranking these teams as to who got the bigger stars. He doesn't really dive into why certain teams made the moves they did. The biggest lack of these rankings are balancing moves with $$$$ on the books come the CBA-day-of-reckoning.
Now more than ever, off-season rankings matter less. I can't wait to see some of these massive contracts for mediocre talent to boomerang and smack these owners right in the face.
As for the Jazz, I've been very pleased with the additions/subtractions so far, especially considering the current market.
It's not that what he said is wrong, though. We are good not great this season, stop the presses.
But the Jazz are stuck as a good-but-not great team until that next big thing comes to town.
