Quite possibly the craziest thing I've ever heard Locke say. The Blazers will be good, but I have no idea how anyone outside of Portland thinks they're a better team than OKC or even Utah. Picking them to win the west is just silly.

Blazers simply do not have a reliable post scorer. Alridge is softer than Boozer in some areas of the game, that means a lot. Their backcourt may be the deepest in the West but they will have to deal with
1- Rudy Fernandez's willingness to leave RipCity
2- arrangement of mins at the 1 and 2 positions
3- the dilemma of Roy or Andre Miller to dictate the offense (still not solved)
4- the lack of primary scoring options.
5- Injuries of Oden and Joel.
