Dennis Lindsey called out Dante on 1280thezone

Best post of the offseason so far.
Thanks so much for the summary. We (the Jazz) have a very bright future with this coaching staff and management.

fish, for some reason the LIKE option doesn't appear on your posts for me when I'm using a computer rather than phone. Sorry dude.

No worries bro. Carry on

Glad to hear that Jazz expect to get better by internal growth and not abandon 21/22 yr old kids that half this board has already done.Besides the lack of game experience a summer of P3/Jazz facility workouts for Exum,Lyles,Hood,Burks and Favors is really needed.I've always felt a healthy Jazz team is the best Defensive team in the NBA and a growing threat offensively IF they speed up the pace of their team with all these young players.

Couldn't get the link to come up (probably my end) but appreciate the talking points. I will say that judging by that he doesn't seem overly concerned about possibly losing Hayward. I'm assuming that's what he's alluding to with all the talk about pursuing FAs ourselves. Obviously still considers Exum a special talent that just needs to buy in and commit.

Chrome was warning me about the link so I couldn't bring it up either.

Just go to the 1280 website to listen.

Huh. DL wants Exum to have more urgency. So, it sounds like a mental issue. Weird. Who was it that said the Jazz were worried about Exum mentally? Weird.

Great summary.

I had listened to the interview yesterday. The only thing I would add is that DL compared Favors' injury and maintenance regime to something Tim Duncan was dealing with throughout the latter years of his career (though he kind of stopped himself during the comparison, sounding like he didn't want to say it was exactly the same issue as Duncan had). I thought this was kind of optimistic. Anybody know what Duncan was dealing with?

I thought I read that Exum was going back to Australia this summer. Really wish he would stay and channel his frustrations into hard work with Jazz staff.

I've held off on being too critical of Exum this year. I'm sure it is difficult for a young player to perform well after missing a season due to injury, especially during the early stages of his development. I agree with DL, this offseason is the time Exum needs to put in work physically and mentally. I hope next season we see Exum finally run out of his leg braces like Forest Gump.

Sounds ideal! I think we all have an illogical affection for our draft picks, but he really seems like a good kid - I'd love to see him become the next George Hill or even better! He has the tools.

Tone is important... Listen to the interview. Just said if he commits like Gordon he can speed this thing up... I worry he's not committed enough, but he is worth continuing the experiment on.
