The numbers definitively prove that he was the best rebounder of all time.

To put Rodman's rebounding in perspective: his best rebounding season was 6 standard deviations higher than the average league leader. Not the average player. The average league leader.

To put that into further perspective: we all know how no one has ever come close to Stockton's ridiculous 15 APG, yes? Well, Stockton's best passing years are only slightly above 2 standard deviations above the average league leader. What does this mean? It means Rodman's dominance on the boards is 4 standard deviations higher than Stockton's dominance in assists compared to other league leaders.

No one has ever dominated one aspect of basketball the way Rodman dominated the boards.

And this stuff is just the tip of the iceberg of this article. Any "well what about THIS" type questions are very likely discussed in the article if you care enough to look.

Rodman was NOT even close to being the best rebounder of all time! He was closer to being the most disgusting human being to ever walk the face of this earth....than being the best rebounder of all time! Karl Malone was a much better rebounder than Rodman! In addition to at least 20 other NBA HOF's who were better rebounders, Rodman really only excelled in offensive rebounds and that was because no one ever bothered to cover him since he was an offensive liability of gigantic proportions!

His defensive rebounding was just as impressive. You'd know that if you could read a graph.

a 6'7 guy who nearly averaged 20 rebounds a game during one season is not even close to being the best rebounder of all time? sigh...... why am i even responding to your comment....
 
So basically people were so nice to let him have his offensive rebounds so much that he pulled a career out of it. Got it.
 
Since Rodman is only 19th all-time in total rebounds, and 11th in rebounds per game....how can he be the "best" rebounder of all time???
