Hawks general manager Danny Ferry announced Paul Millsap officially signed his new contract Wednesday morning.

Millsap says he'll bring leadership to the team...sorry, as much as I loved the guy when he played for us, I never saw him as a leader of the team. Good luck to him.
 
Millsap had been my favorite player since his rookie year up until last year, when Kanter took over. I thought that one day that retiring #24 was in play. However, his public refutation of coming off the bench, signing that toxic deal with Portland, and then turning down the 3-year deal last off-season made it clear to me that he didn't want to be here as much we fans wanted him to retire a Jazzman.

Too bad. He would be a nice asset coming off the bench.
