Desnews: Jazz talking to Watson and AK

Then good riddance; the lack of AK simply gives us more minutes for Hayward and Millsap at the 3, resulting in more Favors time at the 4.

What a shallow approach. Favors should get more mins if he deserves, same as Millsap. But if you think that it will be good for us to let AK go, (which i think 4-5 per year is a bargain for him) just to see Millsap play at 3 and Favors get couple more mins, it is really funny. If AK leaves, we will basically have no legit SF left. Maybe only Hayward who is better at SG than SF.

I don't say we should do whatever to get AK back, but 4-5 per year for him is a very good deal. And the problems he had in utah was morely due to being overshadow by other stars in the team like Boozer and Deron. Also lets accept that he didn't love that Jerry restricted him so much in the court. So with this new team, new coach he can be really helpful in rebuilding process. As much as overpaid he was in the last years, and he was injury prone, he is still one of a kind player that we can't overlook

If you went back and checked on the context of my post that you quoted, you would realize that I said AK should be signed for around 5 million a year; anything substantially more would be a ripoff. So I don't know why you're arguing with me. The Jazz can easily spit SF time between Hayward, Millsap, and occasionally CJ Miles (though Im expecting them to sign another SF, presumably on the minimum). If AK is signed with the Jazz, I feel like he wont exceed more than 25mpg of playing time. Does he deserve more?? Maybe on another team; not the Jazz. We need to focus on developing our young players. I wish AK the best, and I am a HUGE fan of defensive aces in the NBA, but AK on this team doesn't really make sense unless he is playing a bench role. I can't see our team succeeding, while he plays as a starter. Hopefully he goes to the nets with Turkoglu, Howard and Williams.
